Overview
Wi-Fi 7 is a gigantic enhancement over all its former Wi-Fi standards, also known as 802.11be EHT(Extremely High Throughput), is still in the early stages of development and is expected to be released in early 2023. This new standard is built on existing Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) and Wi-Fi 6E (802.11ax) technologies, which were released in 2019 and 2020, respectively. The Wi-Fi 7 enables multifarious enhanced data rates, improved coverage, reduced latency, and much more. It is power-efficient with longer battery life of devices when connected to a Wi-Fi 7 network.

The Wi-Fi 7(802.11be) supports data rates of up to 46 Gbps, which is four times faster than the maximum speed of 9.6 Gbps provided by Wi-Fi 6 and 6E. Furthermore, Wi-Fi 7 networks are designed to reduce latency, making streaming and gaming experiences much more smoother and enjoyable. Wi-Fi 7 supports double bandwidth and higher spatial streams.
