Austin, TX and Washington, D.C. – October 19, 2023 – Wi-Fi Alliance® commends the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) on the significant step to expand regulatory framework for the rapidly growing 6 GHz unlicensed device ecosystem. This order enables a new era of Wi-Fi®, and through the leadership of Chairwoman Rosenworcel and the FCC Commissioners – together with strong support from FCC engineers – a new generation of Wi-Fi connected devices will emerge. The Wi-Fi industry is eager to leverage this decision to realize benefits for American consumers and enterprises.
