UNN Deploys Eyes’ON for the Best Quality of Experience and Services at Home and on the GO

To monitor network performance and guarantee the customer experience for fixed and mobile networks in Brunei, the Government-linked company adopts Eyes’ON solution by SoftAtHome

PARIS, France – 24 April 2025 – SoftAtHome, an independent software company for broadband, video, and analytics, announced today that its Eyes’ON solution is deployed in Unified National Networks (UNN), a government-linked company operating the telecommunication network infrastructure in Brunei Darussalam. UNN adopted Eyes’ON Mobile and Eyes’ON Fixed Networks to monitor the performance of its networks from an end-to-end perspective to better improve the quality od experience for Brunei’s end-users.

Eyes/ON allows users to investigate any fixed or mobile network issue that impacts end-user experience. The solution was chosen for its efficiency to ensure the network’s performance and because, thanks to its mobile applications, the agent is close to the end-user. For the fixed network, Eyes’ON is embedded in a probe (also called whitebox), sent to the subscriber in case of a connectivity issue, or sent randomly to test the network proactively. Installation of the white box helps the work of field technicians.

Building upon a customized mobile application or embedded in a dedicated device in end-user’s homes, Eyes’ON provides extended resources beyond mere throughput testing thanks to flexible test procedures. It also delivers a complete diagnosis through specific test procedures, including network coverage, signal strength, throughput, streaming performance and app or web service availability. Immediately after installation and tests, UNN can get a detailed and easy-to-understand report on main performance metrics captured with a truly end-user perspective.

In World Premier, Orange Jordan to Deploy prpl-based Broadband Solution with SoftAtHome

PARIS, France – AMMAN, Jordan – January 23rd, 2025 – SoftAtHome and Orange Jordan announced the imminent deployment of the world’s first fully prpl-based broadband solution with a home gateway and Wi-Fi repeater powered by prplWare and complementary SoftAtHome products.

The new home gateway and Wi-Fi repeater are powered by prplWare, which includes the prplOS and prplMesh.

prpl extends the Orange device’s shelf life and brings operators greater independence from hardware constraints to deliver new and innovative services. Through this project, SoftAtHome enabled five critical advantages promoted by the prpl Foundation, including higher velocity by de-complexifying Gateway stack integration onto multiple platforms, a focus on service-driven innovation, enabling proprietary differentiation from a 3rd-party services ecosystem, API harmonization through collaboration and convergence to help scale up businesses, open source to improve testing and avoid duplication and wasted efforts, and cultivating a community.

Orange Jordan’s new gateway offers fiber connectivity and delivers the advantages of Wi-Fi6E. For this project, prplWare was extended with several critical operator features such as VoIP, Wi-Fi repeater, API migration, all the while keeping compatibility with the existing infrastructure, etc.

prplMesh already brings Wi-Fi management capabilities and hardware abstraction. SoftAtHome added smart Wi-Fi algorithms, such as Wi-Fi repeater management, packet prioritization, intelligent channel selection, remote device management, and enhanced security features with the Wifi’ON Product running on top of prplWare.

Telenor Reinforces SoftAtHome Partnership with New Tri-Band Gateway and Repeater

With this new tri-band Mesh repeater and WLAN access point, Swisscom provides the best Wi-Fi experience of the moment.
SoftAtHome’s Wifi’ON enables the WLAN-Box 3 to provide end-users with improved in-home connectivity and a great Internet experience thanks to the new capabilities offered by the Wi-Fi 6E standard.
A best-in-class Tri-band Wi-Fi
Wi-Fi 6E is taking advantage of the new 6 GHz frequency.

The added radio spectrum and automatic tri-band steering between 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz, and 6 GHz bands drastically reduce network saturation to improve network experience while working from home or enjoying entertainment.

With Wi-Fi 6E-equipped devices, Wi-Fi can be as fast as 4800 Mbps.

This new box can connect all types of devices: new Wi-Fi 6E compatible devices and the current and oldest generation supporting Wi-Fi 4, 5, or 6.
A global Smart Wi-Fi network
Wifi’ON already powers other devices of the Swisscom operator: previous generations of Internet-Box and WLAN-Box.

With the latest launch, Wifi’ON provides a global Smart Wi-Fi solution to Swisscom customers. New WLAN-Box 3 users will benefit from all Smart Wi-Fi services: Wifi’ON delivers ambient connectivity in the home and provides a vastly improved customer experience. It simplifies the onboarding of repeaters in the home, automatically selecting the best Wi-Fi channel for each home access point. Depending on usage, it manages device roaming to the best Access Point and most appropriate Wi-Fi band.

The first WLAN-Box with a 2.5 Gbps Ethernet
The WLAN-Box 3 is the first WLAN-Box equipped with two 1 Gbps and one 2.5 Gbps Ethernet ports for a faster LAN, providing the end-users with all the LAN services they can expect from a premium device.

An eco-friendly device
This device has been designed to be eco-friendly as it is made of PCR recycled material for the housing and power supply. Short-term software evolutions will make it possible to use 6 GHz frequency only if Wi-Fi 6E devices have been detected in the home network, contributing to significant power savings.
